Our Advanced Obedience Course is intended to condition the dog and handler for high levels of competition obedience. The course is designed for extreme obedience, precision for the handler and the dog, high levels of expectation and motivation through the bond between the dog and the handler.
Only the committed need sign up for this course, we do not refund for drop-outs. It is important that you and your dog are of sound mind and body for this training. You and your dog will be pushed to a level of precision that typically only the “pro’s” have.
You must be ready to change your level of expectations before the class begins. Remember, the only limit in this course is the limit you place upon yourself and your dog. By the end of this course, you will achieve what YOU set out to achieve.

Advanced-O (a): This course is designed for those looking for competition style advanced obedience. The goals for this course are: OFF LEASH! 1. The dog will stand out of motion instantly and upon command from both the heel position and on recall. 2. The dog will sit out of motion instantly and upon command from both the heel position and on recall. 3. The dog will down out of motion instantly and upon command from both the heel position and on recall. 4. The dog will recall at top speed to the handler upon command, sit close (without bumping) and perfectly straight in front on the handler and then finish quickly and precisely when commanded. 5. The dog will retrieve an object thrown by the handler and return immediately to the handler as described in item 4 while holding the object in the mouth until commanded to release the object to the handler. 6. The dog will retrieve an object over the high jump as described in item 5. 7. The dog will perform the broad jump with precision and control. 8. The dog will hold the long sit for 5 minutes. 9. The dog will hold the long down for 10 minutes. 10. The dog will run away from the handler as fast as it can in a straight line when commanded to and then lie down immediately upon command. Advanced-O (b) (add 2 weeks AND $50.00) All of the above PLUS 11. Long down shall be maintained under heavy distraction. 12. The dog will show it’s ability to understand and correctly respond to the handlers’ signals to stand, stay, down, sit and come. 13. The dog will show the ability to locate the handler’s scent among a pile of articles. 14. The dog will follow directional signals to retrieve a glove and immediately return it to the handler as described in item 4. 15. The dog will go away from the handler, turn and sit. Then the dog must clear whichever jump the handler indicates and promptly return to the handler as described in item 4.
